They said as it's green there must be a proven net-zero benefit. Cargobikes easily meet that and will help offset the additional flights into the airport also in the zone (joking of course but would be funny if that was the kind of thing they wanted.)<br /> Whatever happens a few jobs will be created on a management team commissioning logos, signage, brochures and social media followed by an enquiry when it goes wrong. The Thatcher Government designated Prestwick Airport as a freeport in 1984. The designation eventually lapsed in 2011. The claim is the Forth scheme will "generate 50,000 jobs". That is more than NHS Lothian (26,000) the Council (14,700) and the Scottish Government (8,800 - national figure) combined. It is 1.4% of Scotland's working age population. Does nobody in power every stop and think "Hmmm, seems unlikely.
