Gave my daughter a Kingpin, a bit rustier than that example but she loves it.

That's number 4 son's Kingpin on the May page. It really is gorgeous.

Number 4 is 14 and loves the Kingpin lots. The weather has been a bit iffy this week so he used my more grubby looking red Kingpin except on Thursday when I went to school on it.

I have two M Steel Scots and they're both black. When one of my black Bromptons was in the Common Wheel it was besmirched with colourful stickers.

@chdot, 52R how does that relate to your inside leg measurement?

Always fancied an Ellis Briggs touring bicycle, but the frame maker went bust a couple of years ago, and seem to be back but with a reduced range of hand-built frames, no fully built bikes and no tourers part from the Randonneur Special.

Happy enough with my handful of Dawes, a Thorn and the old Raleigh TBH. None custom built, all bought second hand. Will I ever have enough time to ride them all?

I once had a Scot made for me.

Very pleased with it.

Stolen eventually. (52R if anyone finds it...)

A few years later I was in the very messy workshop behind the shop. Expected to find a frame jig, but no, just a steel bench covered in stuff - no framebuilding going on.

This is a Flying Scot made by M Steel for Dales Cycles. These are sometimes called “Flying Englishmen”. They are better than the Glasgow made Scots.

Love it...
Some say Dawes models weren't as good when they moved production to Cambodia (from China).

Shame @sallhinch's bike features not. It is famous. I like their workshop banter a great deal. All bicycles should be fitted with recording devices when they go for service.

That 1989 Rockhopper looks indistinguishable from the one I bought in 1998, bar the colours and a few minor details. Kind of wish I still had that bike: I think you'd have to pay a lot more for a decent steel framed MTB/gravel bike these days. (I probably wouldn't want V-brakes these days, though.)

Yes as the year progresses gets quite cheeky, this bike was made with only one purpose to annoy men from the west of Scotland

Then they have the temerity to diss Flying Scots.

Pink, one of my favourite colours also appears throughout. And a wee dug.
