I don’t think there is any doubt that Lesley McInnes is totally committed to making the city a better place for people walking and wheeling. She’s fighting huge institutional inertia, a general resistance to change and some extremely nasty personal abuse, so while she might make individual mistakes and the delivery can always be improved she deserves our support. Thanks also to @algo, @claire and Jocelyn Dellar for giving some actual positive real-life experience of the benefits that these schemes are bringing to people. Cllr Lesley Macinnes (Edinburgh council transport convener) and Phil Noble (Head of the council's active travel team) will be speaking, along with Jocelyn Dellar (Spokes Porty), Claire Connachan (Low Traffic Corstorphine) and Ewen Maclean (Blackford Safe Routes). A Q&A will be chaired by Dr Caroline Brown. At least two of these people are of this parish, as well.
