There used to be a deer farm too, you could buy (frozen) venison sausages from the visitor centre, stow them in saddle bag and they'd be nearly thawed by the time you got home, ready to cook. However visitor centre shut down and last visit only ices on offer from cafe/restaurant at Beecraigs, no venison.
