It was indeed the chap mentioned above.

Although a google of 'abandoned railway stations edinburgh' brings up other people and various newspaper articles/listicles.

@SRD: There’s a guy on twitter had a lockdown challenge to photograph all the abandoned railway stations in Edinburgh.

I think that would be quite a challenge since, AFAIK, there is no trace of a large proportion of them - at least, nothing that you could recognisably call a 'station'. Yes, there are platforms still in situ along parts of the NEPN, and on the old Corstorphine branch. But actual station buildings, not a lot if anything (the Corstorphone terminus has been completely built over I believe).

There's the one in Trinity - and of course the old Leith Central, but too many have been obliterated, like Abbeyhill for instance, or completely built over.

Other extant ones I can think of would be Morningside, and the gateway into the Caledonian's Princes Street station on Rutland Street, but my initial estimate would be that there is far more almost or completely disappeared compared to having anything recognisably left.

If you do manage to track down that Twitter thread, I for one would be interested to see it.

The Railscot website is running a series of photos of the Water of Leith path taken in the 1960's, while it was still a railway (scroll down to the bottom of the front page). Might be of interest to some here.
