I'm sorry to have to visit this thread again. You may have seen from Twitter that two weeks ago Tulyar was involved in a second RTC. He was taken to the CCU in Glasgow QEUH, where he regained consciousness.

He's no longer critical, but is quite banged up with poor mobility, hopefully temporarily (or at least, for as long as complex fractures take to heal).

If anyone happens to have a spare USB powerbank in the <strike>40 watt range</strike> 20Ah range, I think it would be warmly received, because the QEUH seems at best to be a little behind the times with patient communication technology, and at worst, bordering on a Faraday cage.

And if anyone happens to know of a Tulyarproof trike (probably upright rather than laid back) that he might borrow for a while once discharged, please let him know via Twitter DM.

I'm glad you aren't too badly hurt. Did you enquire as to how they travel to work and pointedly tell them that they should stop driving as it increases there risk of having a heart attack?

I'm not sure I would use that reply but I'd certainly be tempted.

Bruises coming out painfully

GP closed so went in to A&E to assess & log damage. Every one "Were you wearing a helmet" & "You should wear a helmet" Every **** one of them

I bruised my HIP and strained my shoulder - & in 58 years of falling off bikes have actually avoided getting my neck broken (ie death or spinal injury) because I WAS NOT wearing a helmet

If only the Mailstar (23 Kg vs 12 Kg) had had tyres pumped up - would have probably stayed on the bike & made a decent dent on the car as well

Yesterday afternoon in Glasgow. Seems it was a left hook, hit and run. Nothing broken according to the thread and subsequent tweets.
