They simply thought "Hmmm, end of the route, better make sure there is somewhere to park." I suppose you could cycle there and then go for a walk or run, but I'm not sure why you would... </p> http://citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/topic.php?id=21174#post-364416 Wed, 26 Oct 2022 21:34:56 +0000 jss 364416@http://citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/ <p>I am always puzzled what the “thinking” was to install bike racks at the start /end of the Pencaitland cycle path?..<br /> Never seen a bike secured there - and why would there be?.<br /> Would you drive there with your bike, take the bike off your car or van and then think I must park my bike before I start the ride?..?.<br /> Or if coming the other way ,would you think I must tether my bike before I put my bike onto my vehicle?..<br /> Or was some cafe or snack bar envisaged at one time in the car park?..<br /> Can anyone enlighten me as I ponder this for the first 20 minutes each time I ride the path and it’s an annoying waste of mental energy.<br /> Somebody ,sometime ,working in East Lothian Council must have thought it a sensible idea<br /> What might have been the thought processes involved to justify the expenditure?.. </p>
