A remarkable result I think as would be hard doing more nights self supported. It's a ride they document to enhance the off the scale craziness of it. Not interested in being sponsored by some big company but just doing it their way and letting it stay as a thing for those in the know. We did maybe 100k side by side (no drafting apart form pulling in for a car) but otherwise we didn't even see one another on the road as we were initially about 3-5min apart but later more like 30-60min apart. I just couldn't go any faster. </p> <p>Andrew is an Audaxer from Northumberland so we were doing things in a similar way and ended up Audaxing it "together but apart" from Dunoon onwards. Thanks so much!<br /> It definitely helped me to know a lot of the roads thanks to our little cal rides and various Audaxes (Tour of The Borders and Galloway, the North Coast Classic and the Snow Roads).</p> <p>The section between Livingston and Gourock was so annoyingly slow. So many narrow roads with poor surface and steep ups and downs. I was so glad when we crossed to Dunoon and there was a lot less choice of roads so it meant they were on more major roads. </p> <p>Coming over Glenshee on Friday was so, so wet. My ears filled up with water!
