If "in town" extends to "near Haymarket" Locavore on Dalry Road has a cafe and it has some kind of offer on for those working in there (something like £10 for infinite coffee and stay as long as you want on their wifi - precise details on a poster on the door).

Last time I was in coffee was very decent, food OK.

As one might expect there's a distinct yoghurt-knitting hippy ambience which may not to be everyone's taste.

Coffee Saints in either the Grassmarket or Little King Street normally have space, although the Grassmarket one can get busy at lunch times.

If someone is in town for a day and wants one (or more?) cafe options to get a bit of work done, where would you recommend? The places I usually get coffee from are generally quite poky and busy. PY is big inside but I'm guessing it gets pretty rammed in the day?
