Some days I wonder if it’s counterproductive - as in discouraging/annoying others…</p> <p>But it’s not just about me!</p> <p>This forum started in the distant past when <em><a href="https://cyclingedinburgh.wordpress.com">my Wordpress news site</a></em> seemed to have served its purpose and Anth was giving up his great online magazine. </p> <p>For some reason we thought a forum might be a good idea. Realistically it could have been seen as a bad idea - Spokes had one but hardly anyone used it, CyclingScotland had (as I remember/imagine) given up theirs - had to moderate uncomplimentary comments…</p> <p>Anyway. CCE became a thing - or realistically different things to different people. </p> <p>There have been curious hiccups (won’t dwell!), but the value remains - a place to have opinions, post news, ask questions AND get answers from some really amazing knowledgeable people!</p> <p>A lot of people have been here since the early days, so I’m not complaining about the (relatively) low number of posters. </p> <p>There are some people I would like to be posting still, but lives move on. Forums die.
