If you stay in the bike lane and try to go to the right lane via the ASL you not only risk getting knocked down but the sensor doesn't pick you up either. My normal tactic is to get into the right lane really early as that's the best chance for the sensor to spot you. As I approached they seemed to go through some sequence before settling on the green LED being lit.</p> <p>This didn't correspond to the lights going green but did seem to indicate that I had been picked up as I got my turn after E/W traffic on Newbattle had cleared.</p> <p>Maybe these are more widespread and I just haven't noticed, but for a cyclist they are extremely welcome feedback in my opinion. </p>
