Gecko who put in secondary glazing come by bike. [well the younger guy does]. No mileage charge for Balerno.

Edina lock and key once replaced a letterbox for me in fifteen mins which was good given their hourly rate.

@SRD - always nice to see bike based businesses starting up. Hoose company a good resource - joining other handyman operations but with appropriate vehicle!

I do think that small box and wheeled cargo bikes are a bit niche though. The Berlin guy's logic is all very convincing but I find that when we have had smaller box cargo bikes they are harder to sell. Compact one though could store inside more easily so that might appeal. Carrying larger children or longer items not so easy.
Hub motors do work but have odd feel. Derailleur gears and uncovered chain is going to rust. Cheap enough to replace tho.

Cycling gardener here bought AM trikes. Like Berlin guy Andersen Meldgaard have been very successful in Danish market as cheaper Chinese framed copy of Christiania trikes.
Super Cargo wise not to do longtails as market is flooded!
Unpowered ok in Berlin too but large capacity battery with Bafang more useful for here.

We needed someone to drill some holes in masonry walls, and our previous 'handyman' had decamped to sunnier shores.

Luckily google found Ken, who rides a cargo bike: https://www.hoose-edinburgh.com

Ken turned up today and drilled many holes in our walls, to excellent effect.

Unfortunately, he didn't come by cargo bike, because his cargo bike is in transit from Berlin: https://super-bicycles.com/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRV27d-msmU

They look interesting. Ken says they are very community minded. He provided them with some startup funding in exchange for a good price on his bike. Expect to see it around Edinburgh soon!
