I think that's because cycle commuting and touring and audaxing and so on isn't considered as 'sport'.</p> <p>Whereas spearing a fish through the mouth with a sharp thingy on the end of a stick <em>is</em>.</p> <p>I did give them another example, but can't for the life of me remember what it was. All done over a coffee in the Filmhouse of all places, after attending an exhibition at the French Institute and chatted as we walked between the two.
