@ Arrelcat, next best to barefoot? http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/shimano-shimano-sd65-spd-sandals-prod12261/?src=froogle

Dunno if they do them in better/other colours... shimano seem keen on various browns :-/

Woo, get funky, brother!

I fancy a pair of Vibram Five Fingers, but my feet are already a little bit borked and it might be little more than an interesting way to lose a pile of money. I'd probably go barefoot all the time if my feet were SPD compatible.

My current shoes are Shimano MO63 which are turning out to be pretty good.

I just bought some nice new shoes from Chain Reaction Cycles. I bought them as they were the only pair I could find with no laces.
Why?
Lazy. Speed in the changing room.
The picture looks like they are see through because THEY ARE which is awesome for keeping cool. (this morning was interesting) I also imagine they will be great at drying out fast when they get wet (I have overshoes which might not fit over the huge soles, haven't tested yet) and they came with a wee hanger that fits in the soles so they can be hung up on a radiator.
The openness of them may not appeal to everyone but then hey-ho
