<description>&#60;p&#62;I think that is about right.  I haven't ever cycled in Ireland but have been driven around it a fair bit.  THe motorways are M roads and very good.  The N roads are the next grade down and I have found them to be quite variable (same as in Scotland).  Not sure where our B and C class roads fit into their scheme.  Certainly the wee country roads out in Connemara were all like our C class roads.  Occasional bit of European funding producing good road apparently in middle of nowhere. Same as here.
