It will be taken over by the control-freaks, big businesses and fashionistas. They'll create a hegemony which will make our concept of cycling look like a golden age. Think Center Parcs style segregation. I really think that with mass cycling there would come a whole raft of prohibitions on riding without a helmet, insurance, tax or a licence. Apart from the usual cliché-versus-sigh-versus-cliché banter there are a few good comments.
