Spytefyre there is a beer outing proposed, venue not decided was supposed to be beer garden but several options no sign of garden or even window box in case of Dagda/Proctors. Your task is to find the thread and do your timetable thing again [this should also allow you to name the hostelry?] Should you choose to accept.

Don't forget if Burdiehouse hadn't been demolished the second the last human had fled the doorway it would have been smashed and burned by the locals within the night anyway...
Really all they did was remove a whole lot of peopl's fun for an evening

I think the school building looks quite nice. Unfortunately, judging by other buildings that have been passed by Midlothian Council, I suspect the replacement will be not be so classy.

How dare Historic Scotland undertake their duties of trying to protect a listed building and stand in the way of the council selling it on to be flattened to make way for some identikit housing scheme

Not Edinburgh (Dalkeith), but some insight into how planning does/n't work.

In Edinburgh Burdiehouse Primary was demolished rapidly after it closed (last year) but other schools remain empty even though the expectation is eventual demolition.

There was a Sunday Herald article a couple of weeks ago by (Edinburgh cyclist) Malcolm Fraser about the need to re-use buildings for aesthetic and sustainability reasons - he was talking about demolition of sandstone tenements for the 2014 Games 'village'.
