I have seen civilians driving police vans before. Not under blues and twos so not on an emergency call. It wasn't how close he was that troubled me, it's the fact that it was a Police van doing this. <strong>TWICE!</strong> What hope do we have if even the standards of Police driving are lazy enough to pull this maneouver (that has nearly taken me off my bike dozens of times). Well if the Police driver thinks its acceptable then I thought "probably not". Normally it's taxi drivers (who at the very least are allowed to use the lane (debatable in my opinion)) or dozy commuters. Today it was the law. If it had been the usual four-bee-four pulling the move, infront of the Police van, would they have switche don the flashers and hauled the offender over for a stern talking to?</p> <p>Not good enough in my opinion and I was thinking of writing to L&amp;B (I have the vehicle registration) to complain. Should I trouble myself? </p>
