Bargain of the year!).</p> <p>Also a fair bit of early* My Bloody Valentine of late, while boringly recalling those hazy days of sunshine, pointy boots and thunderbird wine from my youth.</p> <p>Saloon and The Beach Boys also get played round here too on occasion (btw it doesn't need to be summer to listen to the Beach Boys, you know!) - my fave modern take on the Beach Boys at the moment is prob Animal Collective/Panda Bear.</p> <p>I would never listen to music while on my bike. Lot of other stuff I've never heard of but all with great sound quality by DJ Darkhorse. He laments that the days of paid DJ'ing are over thanks to Mac and web. Everything is a commodity these days... </p> <p>On the hi-fi recently an old CD of <em>Shadows and Light</em> by Joni Mitchell with Jaco Pastorius on bass and Pat Metheny on guitar.</p> <p>For end of evening <em>'Still'</em> by John Abercrombie with more great guitar and bass.</p> <p>Maybe Tony McManus as well - <em>Ceol More</em> is good one and not just for Celtic music fans.</p> <p><em>Marc Cohn</em> album if I want to remind myself what a well performed and recorded CD sounds like.
