Biggest problem I have is when switching between bikes (all three bikes are potential commuting choices and I do switch between at least two of them fairly frequently).
To make things worse, different bags/panniers are used on different bikes.
This gives great potential for leaving locks/waterproofs/pumps behind.

I guess I have brought this upon myself...

Confessions thread?

I now have a spare pair of trousers and shirt in a bag on top of my desk drawers in case I forget my locker key/pass (connected to each other). Spare passes are available from reception. Cable/padlock is always carried unfastened so it can at least be used to lock up if I forget my lock keys, which should never happen as they're attached to my house keys which I'm far too paranoid to ever step out of the front door without. I tried keeping my locker key with my house keys so that I still had it if I forgot my pass but it just meant that when I went downstairs at lunchtime to get money from my cycling baggies in my locker to by some lunch I remembered that my locker key was attached to my house keys in my bag under my desk.

Forgot my keys so had to sit outside for half an hour waiting for someone else to turn up for work. Made worse by Starbucks being the only nearby coffee shoppe open. Made better by presence of a rubber made at the front door which at least insulated the bum.

Forgot the belt for my trousers this morning (well, actually misplaced it, as it was with clothes but clearly never made it to pannier). Wondering about using spare nylons in desk to improvise belt. wish I had the small bungee cord along.

(as I recall, there are at least two other threads this could go in - the other one about forgetting things or the one about trouser sizes and waist/leg disconnects.)

Always a good idea - but don't tell people where you keep it...

This morning I got to work and when looking for my keys recalled I'd put then in my rucksac and then left it at home in favour of the bike box.... Not a problem me thinks, lots of folk at work who leave their D locks so I borrowed one. But then when I went for a shower I remembered my locker keys were at home on my key ring...

I had to give in and call my GF to drive in (early) to bring in my keys whilst I festered at my desk in sweaty Lycra :-(

I think I need a spare key for my aging D lock (currently only have one) and leave it with my locker keys in my desk draw.
