I was heading in the Kirliston direction and saw lots of small groups of riders heading the opp way, after I passed the main group on the A90 Bridge where they were heading for Cramond Brig. A great many of the speeding motorists around this area come from the army base, they are young lads with money to burn on overpowered cars. I have had a few hairy moments myself just at this point. He was being well attended by personnel from the base and was on the ground under a blanket but also seemed to be talking - other cyclists had stopped and the Army were directing traffic around the stopped cars so we moved on. An ambulance was about a minute away.</p> <p>I hope he will be OK - I know appearances can be deceiving but it didn't look like serious injury, so hope that's right. </p>
