"The top priority feature for our next release will be the ability to switch directly between different route types, e.g. change to fastest route having planned the quietest route. We've added this to our other apps for Android and mobile web (under testing)."

and more -

"Is cycling definitly allowed on Jawbone walk now?"

Well yes as with almost all the Meadows/Links paths. BUT the Council hasn't got round to taking away the markings/signs EXCEPT the one that is the most contentious!

http://citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/topic.php?id=3096#post-32765

Is cycling definitly allowed on Jawbone walk now? What about the other paths that cross the meadows? (I may have missed a previous thread)

If so I'll change OSM.

OSM:

An expert writes -

"A dashed line means that it is a proposed route that is due to be signed. There will be significant plans to implement the route which are verifiable on paper rather than on the ground. Local sustrans rangers or local council/cycling groups are most likely to be in the know and responsible."

Back on CS iP app -

Had a quick play

Looks neater. Different colours for text in Itinerary adds clarity.

Setting start and finish seems quicker/easier.

(There are times when it might be better if updated apps downloaded as separate apps. But the few that do tend to annoy!)

Bit disappointed that it still doesn't show three types of route in app (even as a toggle option). Type has to be pre-set in Settings -

More disappointing is that it is no longer possible to copy the number of route planned in the App.

This number can be added to CS in a browser so that all route alternatives are visible - cyclestreets.net/journey/xxxxxx

http://edinburgh.cyclestreets.net/journey/888834

I see no-one has told OSM that cycling isn't banned on Jawbone Walk!

seeing as this thread is fresh I thought I would borrow it to ask this question about OSM - what does it mean when the NCN routes are marked as a dashed rather than solid line?

Yes, I did look at the key. It didn't answer my question. I've also tried turning it off and on again and that hasn't helped either.
