Whilst there are questions in the poll which annoy me, at least they are asking, considering bicycles, and giving eveyone, not just members, a chance to vote.<br /> I will continue trying to change them from the inside as they are, like it or not, a respected voice in "road safety" policy and some of their stuff is actually very good.<br /> Please everyone vote, and if you feel strongly, write/email to them, they have in the past responded positively to things I've suggested and as an organisation are sometimes surprisingly receptive to sensible suggestions. It is just knee jerk stupidity! We need to <a href="http://rdrf.org.uk/2009/11/lets-get-rid-of-the-vulnerable-road-user/">get rid of the "vulnerable road users" mentality</a>, and concentrate <a href="http://www.copenhagenize.com/2009/10/sacred-bull-in-societys-china-shop.html">"Castrating The Sacred Bull in Society's China Shop"</a>.</p> <p>I must admit I have hoped for a more enlightened view from the Institute of <em>Advanced</em> Motorists, but it turns out they have about the same depth of thinking on road safety as Jeremy Clarkson.
