He was on a Challenge Seiran SL bought from LB in 2010. Shame it was out of shot as a rather nice bike and very light. </p> <p>Was very pleased that both him and Dave made it safely within the time. A fantastic achievement - Dave's PBP shirt is hanging in window of shop at moment. </p> <p>The film there brought back one of the highlights of 2011. The event was fantastic to follow via twitter and the PBP tracking. Needless to say it was quite an experience and not one I'm sure I'd recommend (although the more days pass, the more I think it was excellent and forget the agony, as you'd expect).</p> <p>There were almost too many high and low points to list. To be on the road with 5000+ like minded idiots and probably two or three times as many supporters is quite astounding. </p> <p>Physically I was fine apart from my knees, which were a known danger. I managed quite well but 1230km is a long way and they caved pretty fully by about 900km in, bringing me up short of my transient sub-80 hour aspirations... certainly I was pleased not to have any saddle sores, numb hands or feet, or neck muscles as so many others suffered from.</p> <p>Must give LaidBack a major shout for lending me a bike to abuse across the north of France for four days.
