Stream of cars heading down Dalry Road must have jumped the red <em>en masse</em> and just tried to floor it across the path of the traffic going through green from Morrison Street heading onto Haymarket. It's really scary!</p> <p>There is a large CCTV camera on a pole here covering this junction. I was able to dodge round it, but normally traffic doesn't queue right across the junction, as it was doing then. This was about 08-30 on Friday morning, but when I returned going the other way (from Morrison Street up Dalry Road) at 17:30 ish, there was another queue-across-the-junction queue (again, much worse than normal). Pandemonium ensued. Bus started tooting things to get out its way. Cyclists managed to filter through, only to get stuck behind a taxi wedged between a westbound Citylink and an eastboung tipper truck...</p> <p>Weird. I was running about 15 minutes late after having a shirt ironing failure and having to start again. Maybe it's always like that at that time of the morning. </p>
