They went cool on the idea though (bikes are too <em>niche</em> apparently), but I'm putting together various pitches again to give it another whirl.</p> <p>The dream team of me, Jon Snow and Vicky Pendleton as a presenting crew. As a result it's no longer of any use as a source of information, as you all seem to have confirmed.</p> <p>It's a pity there doesn't seem to be a place in mainstream TV for factual information of the type both shows used to provide. Flik was 'a bit bendy', Swissbike was 'big and fast', and the Halfway was 'quite good'. I watched the rest of the programme at 16x speed since I couldn't stand the frantic presentation (and had better things to do with 45 minutes).
