I'm sure they'll all cycle to work...

As long as the bike is white. And looks like a van. And has a torn seat where you can sit and eat Greggs by the side of the road while staring at passers-by.

Will that include an apprenticeship in traditional brazed steel bicycle frame building, I wonder?

We can but dream...

Historic Scotland has launched its campaign to recruit 30 additional apprentices in traditional building skills - stonemasonry, joinery and painting – that are crucial to Scotland’s construction industry.

The announcement was made by Culture Secretary Fiona Hyslop who will later today highlight the importance of traditional building skills, and the contribution they make to the Scottish economy, in a Scottish Parliament Debate.

The apprenticeships are based throughout Scotland and in Edinburgh and the Lothians includes an opening for an apprentice at Edinburgh Castle and Blackness Castle.
