I once had to experimentally test the tyre-lever function of my Topeak Alien when my tyre levers weren't nearby. It did the levering bit OK but couldn't hook to the spokes and therefore threatened to go pinging off like an Allen-keyed ninja star.

@Instography - once they get rid of all the sizes in all the designs [any time now] the website will switch to more standard sizing reflecting that the new windcheetah is a bit bigger in each size then it was when they first had it made. thecyclejersey.com is a small scottish company and they are excellent on the customer care.

The arms are fine actually, it's the one bit I was worried about. That's the XL size, I think they do an XXL. They actually emailed with what the actual measurements were before mailing so that I could confirm the size - not sure they're bang on yet, but what I can say is that it's lovely and cosy, without being too warm, and kept out the rain AND the wind without me getting clammy. Let's see what Tuesday brings...

@Anth - Looks good you went for the less bright one [this is true not sarcasm]. I bought the Ardbeg Whisky one for my pal down south [he might never use it except up here]. Price good [compared with foska equivalent]. Obviously pricier than a plain one but made in Scotland I believe. Douglas at thecyclejersey.com very good on the customer service [notice to anyone considering purchase the sizes are wrong on the website but about to change once all the previous snug sizes and colours have been sold].

Douglas keen on any suggestions for products. I thought Williams Bros beer and Fentimans Ginger Beer. Douglas negotiating with Sunday Post [or struggling with this - I would buy an Oor Wullie top or a Broons top for definite].

White stuff seems to have fallen as hail higher up eg Balerno/Eskbank and snow in town.
