Thirded. I stuck to main roads, and given it was dry went with the more surefooted CX-tyred Cotic. Still lingering frost, and low puddles iced over. Also, as with amir, found drivers to be remarkably impatient this morning - got tailgated at least half a dozen times. Slightly offputting and unsettling in those conditions...

Yes, it was pretty icy this am, particularly out of town. Most is dry frosty stuff but some is slippy so be careful. Either no gritting was carried out (no crunch perceived) or it is ineffective on dry frost. The ice means that a half metre perimeter on the road is out of bounds. Of course most motorists don't realise this :(

Wee bit of frost on the roads this morning; enough to make me wish I had Wintersaurus, but given how dry yesterday was it nothing careful riding couldn't cope with.

The few bits of water I could see on my dry route were well frozen, so persons who do the more aqueous paths might want to play it canny.

I'm with Uberuce, roasting hot bath and the alcoholic tipple of your choice (apparently W Churchill favoured a nice malt) is good for easing out bumps and scrapes.

Hot bath and a good wine is the best for post-battering soreness, in my Humbledore.

First mini-commute on the newly fixulated racer today.

I shouldn't really have taken it out but I reckon the last couple of days of rain and lack of night frost means the salt levels today will be low and since the roads were dry, little would spring up even if not, and as a last resort it was only the ~1.5 mile leg of the day's travel so I could push her home easy enough.

I used to find that bike moderately comfortable, so I presume I will again once I become reaccustomed to drop bars.

my fall on the ice and then fall in the wind yesterday has left my body somewhat battered
so no bike.

Only my second one on the bike this week, cold, and I had to sprint* for the up the hill to Falkirk high to make the train which didn't feel at all nice. Made it though :-)
Now awaiting the promised snow.....

*Sprint in this case (Surly LHT on 26x1.75 marathon spikes) meaning the usual lung busting/thigh hurting effort but without the expected speed increase :-( It meanders along happily enough but speed is not an option...

A colleague has a face covered in scab today after wiping out on Monday (ouch). I was very glad to have my new spiky tyres on. In fact some chap just behind me went splat following the same line / same speed as me round a corner from the new Chancelot Path to Warriston Path - I am guiltily thinking that he might have been thinking it was safe because I had just made it around the corner without incident. Oops.

Tricycle so no issues.

More jeeps forgetting that they have the same brakes as everyone else. Some cars came down the big hill sideways and backwards so I stayed out of their way.

I got a mention on Facebook, a colleague's Friend commented that she had just seen a man on a tricycle going though Coatbridge. Colleague was able to fill in the details.

Noticed a passenger in a car taking photos this afternoon.
