<description>&#60;p&#62;I hate to be the one to pick holes but the chart - the one showing that cycling has doubled since they started building bike lanes - only really works as proof of the efficacy of bike lanes if you ignore the fact that it pretty much doubled in the preceding period.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I'm sure the bike lanes helped but cycling was growing rapidly anyway.

&#60;p&#62;One very nice fact, appears that number of cyclists doubles, number of accidents remains flat - so, decent infrastructure = gains on all fronts, good for NYC.
