"</em></p> <p>Ahh.. the old how to visit a hospital with a free car-park technique.</p> <p>It's amazing how it's always easier to keep driving than find any other alternative. Is it cheaper - who cares?<br /> "The planners, government, other people made me do it and we'll keep driving till they get the message."</p> <p>I missed the hospital car park debate but it's a great illustration of how a failure to charge for something actually costs a lot more money and causes distress. SG thought it would look good to reduce costs to motorists and it did play well for about a week. The equivalent would be to let people have free phone calls and internet and then act surprised when the system overloaded.
