It's the only site (other than I think southern's) where you can reserve a bike space online, it doesn't have a booking fee (unlike thetrainline...), gets exactly the same deals as any other site, plus an additional discount on the advance East Coast tickets. Wasn't available when I bought them on Monday.</p> <p>Rail ticket pricing seems less about what the journey actually "costs" than a few headline grabbing "cannot miss this deal" while the actual standard / overall average ticket prices increase.</p> <p>I actually thought £66 return for a weekend was pretty good.
