I take it they stop firing. Morpeth isn't that far away. We were in Alnwick last month. Took no more than a couple of hours to get there.

I actually reckon it's a bit quicker for me to get to Morpeth than Forfar.
Well it has a train station, for a start!

I'll have a wee think, but it looks pretty lumpy. 3 AAA points!

If you want a cracking ride on the 5 May consider heading south instead. The Chevy Chase out of Morpeth uses some lovely roads and also gives you the chance to ride through Otterburn military ranges which are only open to the public a couple of weeks a year. You can easily ride for a couple of hours up on the ranges and see no-one and it's the only audax I know where you get to cycle down the middle of a runway. I've ridden it 4 times and I actually reckon it's a bit quicker for me to get to Morpeth than Forfar.

Its much shorter, by 100km.... ;-)

Seriously, its very similar but obviously missing three of the climbs. Its very easy actually, you just keep turning left. Other than Cairn o Mount and Cairnwell its flat, well a very shallow climb up Glen Dee/Deeside. We did it in around 12 hours, and had snow, sleat, hail, cold, sun and but no rain... oh wait, aye we had rain. Other than that it starts at 8am so drivable from Edinburgh before hand so saving you sleeping over the night before, unless you really want to. The roads are dead quiet, I don't recall much traffic at all! I'm going to enter it next year.

"Anth has sort of prototyped citycycling jerseys, iirc... have they hit production volume yet?"

"There was deafening silence when some folk asked about producing a batch. So I'm guessing he's not keen..."

Actually, pretty keen, just not got round to it (haven't even got the website updated for about 3 months), and also slightly worried about any possible negative reaction. But. I'll re-jig the design a bit to incoporate .cc AND CCE, and fix a couple of things I wanted to fix, and then.... take orders.

Give me the weekend, I'll have the design to put pictures up, and paypal payment links for various ordering options (which will be payment to me for onward transition to the suppliers). Takes about 6-8 weeks for production, so if ordered before the start of December will be ready by the new audax season.

Prices will be cheaper than Foska, Prendas etc. And I'll have pics of the size I have and how that fits with my dimensions (Anth likes puppies and would like to see an end to world poverty, he measures 42, 34, 40) for informed sizing choices.

So, new thread on Sunday night with order options, open for orders till the end of the month (to take in pay day). And I'll see if they do caps as well.
