Alas, wind picked up and I had not put on galoshes so had cold feet. Chap taking the whole A70 to Ayr stayed with me for a while for a nice bit of company before he headed on his way at speed I could not match. Fair bit of ice similar to Long Dalmahoy - I think from burst pipes, little streams/drains running down the roadside. Once I reached ruin at South Lanarkshire border I turned and zoomed back.
