Free workshop in Glasgow and Edinburgh for Event Organisers&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Thank you to all who have already signed up for our workshops in Glasgow on the 28th and Edinburgh on the 29th of February. If you are trying to encourage people to get on their bikes, want to stage a cycling event in your local area, or want to create a fundraising event for charity then Bike Week is the perfect time to do it. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Agenda&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Glasgow 10-12 and 1-3pm:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Sandra Almqvist (Limelight Sports) and William Wright (Cycling Scotland) introduce Bike Week 2012 and discuss the benefits of registering as an event organiser.&#60;br /&#62;
Chris Johnson (Cycling Scotland) explains the logistics of running your own event&#60;br /&#62;
Kirsten Blackie (Smarts Scotland) highlights the key issues behind a successful PR and marketing campaign and the power of social media. &#60;br /&#62;
Edinburgh 10-12 and 1-3pm:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Sandra Almqvist (Limelight Sports) and William Wright (Cycling Scotland) introduce Bike Week 2012 and discuss the benefits of registering as an event organiser. &#60;br /&#62;
Frazer Copland (No Fuss Events) explains the logistics of running your own event&#60;br /&#62;
Fergus Reid (Smarts Scotland) highlights the key issues behind a successful PR and marketing campaign and the power of social media. &#60;br /&#62;

Not that that would be me, but it does seem slightly odd - I certainly would imagine they could get more workplaces involved if they had evening or weekend workshops that those people who want to run work events could attend!

<description>&#60;p&#62;I will not be able to attend either date, some of us work, and unless I take the day off neither is suitable.  However, that said, I will in all probability with one other take the traditional, annual, Ladies evening ride on Thursday 21st June (mid-summer's day this year) for the CTC.  Starting from the Commonwealth Pool at 7pm for a couple of hours/15 miles or so.
