They are though a British invention, as far as I know. What a great gift to the world UK road designers have given! (Ironic, for the avoidance of doubt).</p> <p>Oh and the IKEA transportfiets would be pretty feasible, as long as they have good brakes! More or less downhill from Straiton to much of Edinburgh. Empty on the way back, so not such a huge effort uphill.
