Today i went up to the coop to get a chain but they didn't have a 9 speed one for less than £30 so i got some strong degreaser and a brush to try cleaning the chain off the bike (only discovered sram power links last night) but its still not for moving.</p> <p>Question is if i remove the frozen link am I going to have any problems for a week while the new one arrives, very luckily the one that's gone is right next to the power link so i don't have to split it part way.</p> <p>tl;dr: can i loose a link and still have my gears? </p>
