Indeed a RRPITA

I went throught the old goods yard on the RHS heading east which takes you out onto the rtoad higher up thus avoiding the steps - but saves no time. I also considered carrying my bike up the embankment onto the Lymphoy RToad which would have been longer but would have avoided the retracing of tracks.

Path closed between currie and balerno. Bridge being fixed at the one hole golf course the guy built in his garden. Signs warning badly situated. You need to come off at Currie. If you miss them you get almost to Balerno then have to turn right back to Currie. Not sur why the young couple cycling back down didn't mention this to me. They were a bit lost for sure but no way round and no other exits. Mud on path largely frozen so not bad going. Sunny day so I retract my complaint.
