&#60;p&#62;Without contradicting your cynicism, it's encouraging that politicians are so willing to be seen to be 'encouraging walking and cycling'. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I think it's also safe to say that no-one in other parties will disagree. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Will any 'promise' &#60;em&#62;more&#60;/em&#62; spending??&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Though of course (as discussed on other threads) its not about money as such - more about it's spent and the attitudes of council officials, road users etc.
