There's a 'cyclist' on there with the 'cyclists don't use lights, ride through red lights, ride on pavements and don't wear helmets' line as well. I'm not entirely sure what that has to do with the provision of secure bike parking.</p> <p>Also, the fallback argument of the council 'giving in' to the 'cycling lobby' and somehow finding the money for the scheme. £50,000... In the context that's peanuts. Anyone have the whole of Edinburgh roads budget to hand? This was countered by a suggestion of giving up two parking spots for a bike shed that was locked and roofed. this was met with absolute uproar.
