What a strange thing it is!</p> <p>It's hard to imagine when it would be used, because when the lights are red, cars often seem to be flush with the pavement at that point. Then they will paint in bike lane I think. Hotel pavement will remain - including the little cycle lane at end.</p> <p>Master plan is to widen pavement all the way to Candlemaker Row. I note that the pavement is being brought out to make Victoria St junction level - previously there was one metre of kerb jutting out beyond dotted line.</p> <p>Assume they will do this and paint in something. Will still be tight of course as there is a bus stop just before. </p>
