Do they hold? I had a similar issue once, the tyres were done any way so I just binned them, but...

I think I found the problem at lunchtime. Reasonable size split (2-3mm) in the tyre. Which I think is bigger then a tiny nick I think I noted there a while back (at that time it just looked like a normal teeny nick out the rubber).

I presume the inner tune is basically trying to push out of the tyre and finally letting go. Didn't only patch the tube, but put a patch on the inside of the tyre.

That's what I'm thinking. Could always tell on the white Halos I used cos they wore through to a yellow belt underneath. Had expected the same on this, but maybe the black is different.

In which case it could be the entire tyre is worn? Second to last instance of exploding tyre due to wear amazed me with just how thin the casing had become in places.

Also check your garage floor, the road outside your house and perhaps even the cat's claws and the chickens' beaks for tell-tale rubber marks.

Aye. Within walking distance of work this time thankfully. New toob and everything. Though I've not had time to change the tyres over to CX yet after being out on Monday night and domestically engaged last night. I'm tied up most of tonight as well, but sod it, this is getting rediculous so I'll be swapping tyres in the wee small hours (and working out how to create clearance to the 'guard in one particular spot).

It's either the Halo is worn, or rubbing, on one spot. Or the rim is knackered in one spot. But I can't see any pattern to where the punctures are - try different tyres before resorting to more drastic measures. But that's 4 in the last 2 weeks.
