Didn't much fancy it in the dark.</p> <p>First the Good news - the section west of Ratho bridge that was very rutted and bumpy has been coated in a brand new layer of black tarmac.</p> <p>Bad news though is that along with several trees lying in the canal itself (guessing nobody if boating at the moment), there's a big one lying right across the path just to the west of the climbing centre steps. So be prepared for a bit of lifting and climbing if you're travelling that way. </p>
