It is a lovely old lugged frame and in fairly good but not excellent condition and it is in real need of a service. Specifically it has mafac centrepull brakes which I would like to keep but which need adjusting, and i know from past experience that several of the bike shops I tried to take it to in London where I used to live would just say they would have to replace the brakes entirely with some shiny new 21st century ones. I'm not keen to do this. </p> <p>Could anybody recommend a shop which is sympathetic to and experienced in repairing older/vintage bikes?</p> <p>Thank you! </p>
