These can also be chic, especially if you live in the US and go for the 'rando' look with some nice Berthoud panniers, VO bar bag, VO stainless steel rack, Nitto stem and bars, etc.</p> <p>Yes, these are all functional and quality items designed to last. Also comparatively reasonably priced. So not "ridiculously expensive" in my book.
