Followed by Wacky Races, Fancy Dress & activities in the Square, hosted by the CCR. Music, refreshments and mayhem to celebrate the Newcastleton Cycling Festival, all welcome. Noon—Race ﬁnishes. 12:30 Final prize giving and closing ceremony at the Grassy Knoll, Rock UK IMPORTANT INFO All riders must wear helmets. All under 18’s must have guardian or parental consent. Culminating in the European & UK Solo MTB Championship 12+24 Hours of Exposure April 7/8. 31st March to 8th April Newcastleton Cross Border Classic 2 day Sportive fuelled by Accelerade. Saturday: English loop; 2 options 45 or 90 mile. Sunday: Scottish loop; 2 options 75 or 50 mile. Entry online or village hall from 7am. Entry £15 or £25 for both. Starts between 8‐9am. Food stops, mechanical assistance & broom wagon provided. Open to 16+ years, under 18’s need parental consent and must be accompanied by an adult. Mon April 2nd Adventures Day at Rock UK For all the family; swimming, canoeing, zip wire, rock climbing, team tasks, water walkerz. Must book in advance guide price £44 for family 4. Some activities have minimum age, please ring for details. FREE guided MTB ride departing 10:30 to Newcastleton 7stanes, donations to support the 7stanes CIC. Tues April 3rd Copshaw Cracker Hill Climb 800ft of climbing over 4 miles! Must have helmet lights. FREE to enter. 5:30 start for 12‐16’s, who must have adult consent. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd courtesy of Bike Seven. 6pm start for 16’s and overs. CASH PRIZES for 1st, 2nd 3rd courtesy of Newcastleton Business Forum. Weds April 4th Dalbeattie 7Stanes MTB Trails. Registration fee £10, turn up get your money back! Coach and bike carriers depart Douglas Square 9:30am returning 7pm. Bike hire available from Rock UK. Bring packed lunch and refreshments, no facilities on site but great trails! Donations to 7stanes CIC. Thu April 5th MTB Urban Street race around the village. 5:30—6pm open to all who wish to have a go! Main event for the se‐ rious rider starts 6pm Douglas Square. 16’s and overs only. CASH PRIZES for 1st, 2nd 3rd, courtesy of NBF. Fri April 6th Exposure Practise Day plus ….. for children 12 & 24 minutes of Exposure, 5pm start at Rock UK. 12 minutes under 8’s, 24 minutes up to 16’s. Pre‐registration required; DOB, parental consent, must wear helmet, open to any bike. Medals awarded. Pasta Party & Ceilidh from 7:30pm.
