St Clair St in particular gets very little pedestrian use, and I have to say I was surprised, given the widths of both streets that no cycle lane (even an 'advisory one) was added. </p> <p>Certainly a missed opportunity in my view, probably justified by use during football matches. You can see the scorch marks where it has been burned off.</p> <p>But it HAS been replaced. Seems like a quiet street and I don't remember it being too rutted - compared to other Edinburgh roads anyway. However, last year it got a lovely bit of resurfacing so it's super smooth. </p> <p>It's on NCN1, but I presume that wasn't the reason for the resurfacing. Perhaps whoever was building the new house in each street, thereby damaging the surface with heavy vehicles, forked out for it?
