Used to get her to bring me back 501s - cost $17. Wee guy from Flip in Glasgow who looked like Buddy Holly immediately knelt down to inspect my ankles when I told him this. Alas the jeans did not have the rows of red thread stitching them together that would apparently have made them worth money. I saw from the website of Levi Strauss&amp; Co that same bargains to be had in USA with jeans costing $48 instead of £80. Except ones made in USA out of Selvedge Denim which cost $178.
