Wish I could remember the name of the company, but the lad driving their van didn't feel like rushing me through the pinch points. He'd had a tricky negotiation at the lights at the end of the Meadows - a 4x4 driver appeared to get lost in the middle of the junction, even well after the lights had changed, and he gave plenty of room the whole way up Buccleuch Street, including where the cycle lane disappears before Dagda.</p> <p>"I can only assume that he's an example of the driving standards you require, which refreshingly breaks with the "white van man" stereotypes. (my mistake)<br /> cars all stopped and let me go</p> <p>there were the usual idiots as well,however these bits stoood out as a bit of thoughtfulness for a poor cyclist on a horrible day </p>
