For those of you of a mountain biking persuasion:-
Out in Argyll over the Easter break we put together this lovely round trip starting at Ardmaddy Castle, across to Loch Melfort (with fantastic views out to the Garvellachs and beyond), Loch Avich, Loch Scammadale and back to Ardmaddy. 32 miles - apart from a mile or so on the main Oban to Campbeltown main road it's all either very quiet back roads, landrover tracks or singletrack.
We had one hairy moment heading down towards Loch Scammadale where our route through a gate was blocked by an extremely large bull but he was in a field with several cows and from his general demeanour looked as though he'd been enjoying himself for a while - he certainly couldn't be bothered with us!
